The Chita is the first grain whisky from the Suntory Whisky House. In 1972, on the Chita Peninsula, Suntory’s second Master Blender Keizo Saji built a distillery dedicated to creating the highest quality Japanese grain whisky. Through ongoing research and innovation, Chita grain whiskies have reached unmatched sophistication; they have traditionally been used as “dashi” or bouillon to enhance the harmony of Suntory Blends. This flagship expression is aged in a combination of wine, sherry, and bourbon casks. It is a light whisky with subtle notes of mint, honey, and spice.
