MÂCON-VILLAGES 2024 FRÈRES ROPITEAU 75CL

Maison Ropiteau Frères Mâcon-Villages comes from 43 communes in the Mâconnais, a wine-growing area in southern Burgundy covering more than 1,800 hectares. Unlike the regions farther north, the soils here are primarily composed of clay, silica, and granite. These distinctive terroirs give the region's white wines a characteristic mineral freshness, making them lighter and more vibrant than those from the Côte d’Or.

Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, the wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and aromatic purity. It is then aged partly in stainless steel and partly in oak barrels, creating a harmonious balance between crispness and roundness.

The wine displays a beautiful golden color with green highlights. On the nose, it is elegant and refined, offering expressive aromas of herbs and flowers, with notes of lemon, mint, and honeysuckle. On the palate, it is fresh, smooth, and well-balanced, with lively acidity that echoes the same herbal and floral characteristics.

This wine pairs beautifully with mixed salads, sushi, poultry, veal in a creamy sauce, risottos, and goat cheese.
